For anyone who doesn’t know and doesn’t want to lose an hour to wikipedia, she sued the photographer taking photos of the california coastline for a government study on erosion. One of the photos included her mansion. She thereby alerted the public to the existence of an extremely obscure set of public records that contained high-resolution photographs of her patio. Mike Masnick coined the term.
The humor of her comeuppance belies the patrician spite of her suing the individual photographer, who paid hundreds of thousands in legal fees.
