We shall recreate the Earth.
We started with Peles Castle in Romania, then Kansas City, Missouri, and so on in that order.

How will they account for the fact that a spherical surface can’t be mapped onto a flat plane, esp. since Minecraft is rigidly Cartesian?

Exactly, such a recreation is impossible, because that recreation would have to recursively contain infinite recreations of itself.

At meter-scale resolution, they’d only need to include copies of Minecraft running on an Eniac, and that can probably be done

I wonder what projection they will use, to map the globe on to Minecraft’s flat world?
