'Q Shaman' Capitol attacker Jacob Chansley moved to Alexandria, VA jail, federal judge orders authorities to give him organic food while in custody

I don’t know where the idea originated, but there is apparently a subset of QAnoners (QAnonists?) who believe that Joe Biden had his face taken off and surgically grafted onto the body of Donald Trump (like that John Wu movie starring John Travolta and Nicolas Cage… the title escapes me), meaning that President Biden actually is Trump in disguise. If we capitalize on this idea to get them blindly following Biden, that sounds like a step in the right direction.

There are many directions one might be able to nudge a group of people who are apparently susceptible to, well, anything. I feel like this could be utilized in a coordinated way? Cyberspace is really quite a Wild West at this point anyway.

I personally believe QAnon has been nudged plenty by foreign state-level actors – it’s just a really intense hunch, and seems, well, obvious. Why the hell not engage? Clearly our own state level actors seem utterly incapable of dealing with this shit.

Or just make it less and less attractive. Inject ideas like “Big Tobacco is run by satanists and is a conspiracy to kill off conservatives!”, or “Leftists companies make fatty, sugary foods, beer, and fast food to undermine the rightwing segments of the population” and organize QAnon to boycott all those items.

I’m thinking their devotion would be strained by mandates to give up their big macs, beer and cigarettes. I am betting Mr Organic is in a seriously small minority of Q idiots.

Oh, and porn. And Wal-Mart.

This is what I am talkin’ about! “Hack QAnon!” I guess it’s as simple as setting up dummy accounts in gross places and going for it. I think I need to find some folks with some real-world experience doing these types of direct engagements, to get a lay of the land.

Face/Off.

Are you sure that’s what it’s called?

Those violations happen too, but do you think articles like this improve or reduce the likelihood of those rights being respected? I tend to find a lot of articles about an obviously terrible person receiving the treatment we would hope for everyone to have access to doesn’t stop the distasteful person, but does get used to weaken support for the laws that provide the minimal protections that exist.

Do you think I’m arguing for that, or many people here are doing so?

I’m more expressing my concern about the tendency of news stories like this more broadly. We, as a society, use headline grabbing things, like this and it leads to arguments that the rights need to be curtailed. A few comments upthread can be read that way.

I think the reason many of us find this maddening is the contrast between how prisoners are treated based on race and other factors.

In 2018 a black inmate in Milwaukee died because he was denied water for a full week.

Is there something in MY comment that leads you to believe that I’ve argued that here?

No, but your comment made me think that I hadn’t made my own point clear enough, so I was striving to clarify why I am rushing to the defense of the law in question. I’m well aware of the existing abuses and they underlie my concern.
