Did you know that hurricanes spin off tornadoes as a byproduct, hardly worth mentioning? And that as a midwesterner who had had some exposure to tornadoes (including a very near-hit when I lived in Iowa) I was cocky when I moved to Hawaii until I experienced my first hurricane?
