Quotes on religion and the mythical Christian solar god Jesus's association with the Sun

One of the most revered, worshipped and written about mythical African-Kemetic/Anu (Egyptian/Ethiopian) gods or goddesses is the goddess Isis. Unfortunately the name and myth of the African goddess Isis has been sullied and tarnished because it has been linked with a barbaric terrorist organization, that is often referred to by the acronym, ISIS.

There are numerous myths connected to the African goddess Isis: as the divine mother of Horus, the wife and sister of Osiris, as a powerful goddess of magic, incantations and spells, in association with the star Sirius, as a member of a group of mythical and ancient African (pre-dynastic) Kemetic gods and goddesses called “The Black Anu” etc…etc…

One interesting myth about Isis, is when she used her devious and scheming wit to achieve her desired goal of becoming a supreme and mighty goddess.

The Legend of Ra and Isis~

The following myth can be found in the Papyrus de Turin’s “Legend of Ra and Isis”-- and the Papyrus of Ani’s “Chapter of the Divine God.” The following is a summation of this mythical religious story.

In this myth, Isis is a goddess who has the power over words and knowledge to use those words. Isis is living among the gods and goddesses in heaven, because she has become disenchanted living among humans on Earth. However Isis still dreams and wonders about becoming a supreme and mighty goddess in heaven and on Earth.

The only way Isis can become a supreme and mighty goddess is to find out the hidden name of the supreme creator god. Unfortunately, the only one who knows it, is the supreme creator god himself. The supreme creator god has grown old, so old he can no longer control his own emesis and body fluids.

Isis in cunning fashion devises a plan to cause the supreme creator god, to reveal his hidden name to her. Isis then proceeds to devise a deadly scenario that would force the supreme creator god to reveal his hidden name to her. Isis creates a venomous serpent with long and sharp fangs; using soil and the very emesis and body fluids of the o!d supreme creator god.

Isis upon discovering where the supreme creator god takes his daily walks, places the venomous serpent (she created), in the pathway so there is no way the supreme creator god can avoid it. The supreme creator god goes on his daily walk, is bitten by the serpent, and becomes extremely sick; he also is in extreme pain and going blind, he calls out to the other gods and goddesses for help because he does not know what has stung or bitten him.

The supreme creator god is cold and hot, both quivering and burning from the bite of the venomous and deadly serpent Isis created. The other gods and goddesses who are the children of the supreme creator god (like Isis), also have the power over words and the knowledge to use those words to potentially heal the supreme creator god.

All the gods and goddesses, including Isis, rush to see what is wrong with the supreme creator god. Isis steps forward knowing to herself that she created the deadly and venomous serpent, knowing exactly what is wrong and happening to the supreme creator god–in cunning fashion directs the following questions to the supreme creator god: “What is the matter? Hath anything which thou hast fashioned [dared] to lift up his head against thee? Hath a serpent shot his venom into thee?”

The supreme creator god tells Isis what is wrong with him and what he is feeling. Isis then asks the supreme creator god, to tell her his name because whoever pronounces it will forever become a supreme and mighty god or goddess. The supreme creator god goes on to rant about his personal and powerful personal attributes, everything except the revelation of what his hidden name is.

Isis then tells the supreme creator god he still has not told her his name, and if he does, she will use her power over words and knowledge of how to use those words–to make the poison leave his body and heal him. Out of pain, despair and desperation, the supreme creator god allows Isis to search his body and summon forth his hidden name into her body. Isis, now knowing the name of the supreme creator god–uses her power over words and power to use those words, and says: “Flow poison, come out of Ra."

Ra Is healed and Isis achieved her goal of becoming a supreme and mighty goddess in heaven and on Earth through the acquisition and knowledge of Ra’s name.

Excerpts from the Legend of Ra and Isis

I have been stung by some deadly thing, of which my heart hath no knowledge, and which I have neither seen with my eyes nor made with my hands. I have no knowledge whatsoever of that which hath done this thing to me.

Never before have I felt pain like unto this, and no pain can be worse than this. I am a Prince and son of a Prince, I am a divine emanation, I was produced by a god, I am a Great One, and the son of a Great One, and my father determined for me my name.

My names are multitudinous, my forms are manifold, and my being existeth in every god. My father and my mother uttered my name and they hid it in my body when I was born, so that none of those who would use against me words of power might succeed in making their enchantments to have dominion over me.

I remember from my black history class about black people who have lived (and currently live) in Russia.

Other black and white people dancing to Jesus, instead of a deceased religious figure and mystical Russian adviser in the court of Czar Nicholas II of Russia.

Fun Fact - The Russian Czar’s were so fond of tea that it colloquially became called “a Cup of Czar”,which over the years the degraded into the modern working-class term “cuppa char”[1]. None of which has anything to do with anything, but I thought you’d like to know.

In the meantime, here are some more people dancing to the sounds of a deceased Kemetic religious figure, so this post isn’t completely off topic.

God and Curry :innocent:

“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 15:57

Curry, an outspoken Christian, clearly shows how humble a man he is, and every victory he gained belongs to the glory of God who made it possible for him and the rest of the team to win.

The NBA champion and two-time MVP scored 38 points as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 108-97 to take a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals.

Three Golden State Warrior fans who were forsaken by the Christian God.

Divine reaction with music at 0:37

What am I going to do God—Why?

I’m calling the police on those demonic Cleveland Cavaliers.

Man, I was really hoping that would be about Indian food at first.

Remember, religious books are only mythical books written by men.

FYI, here are two examples of revised and edited–best selling religious books.

Maybe you should consider publishing the “Enso Revised Standard Version” of the Tanakh, Qur’an or Bible :scream:

…a clearer version of the Bible for the English-speaking church but also to “preserve all that is best in the English Bible as it has been known and used through the centuries” and “to put the message of the Bible in simple, enduring words that are worthy to stand in the great Tyndale-King James tradition.”

One of my favorite women’s and civil rights activists, is the late Elizabeth Cady Stanton (1815-1902). Elizabeth Cady Stanton was a great and iconic civil rights activist, who fought tirelessly and fiercely for equality for women, including the right of women to vote.

…opposed to the publication of The Woman’s Bible; they felt it would harm the drive for women’s suffrage. Although it was never accepted by Bible scholars as a major work, it became a popular best-seller, much to the dismay of suffragists who worked alongside Stanton within the National American Woman Suffrage Association (NAWSA).[

…Elizabeth Cady Stanton was dissatisfied with both the King James Version and the Revised Version of the Bible…

In 1881, 1885 and 1894, the Church of England published a Revised Version of the Bible, the first new English version in over two centuries. Stanton was dissatisfied with the Revised Version’s failure to include recent scholarship from Bible expert Julia Smith. She wrote:

“Whatever the Bible may be made to do in Hebrew or Greek, in plain English it does not exalt and dignify woman. My standpoint for criticism is the revised edition of 1888. I will so far honor the revising committee of wise men who have given us the best exegesis they can according to their ability, although Disraeli said the last one before he died, contained 150,000 blunders in the Hebrew, and 7,000 in the Greek.”

…Stanton assembled a “Revising Committee” to draft commentary on the new Bible version. Many of those she approached in person and by letter refused to take part, especially scholars who would be risking their professional reputations. Some 26 people agreed to help. Sharing Stanton’s determination, the committee wished to correct biblical interpretation which they viewed as being biased against women, and to bring attention to the small fraction of the Bible which discussed women.

They intended to demonstrate that it was not divine will that humiliated women, but human desire for domination. The committee was made up of women who were not Bible scholars, but who were interested in biblical interpretation and were active in women’s rights. Among the notable members of the international committee were Augusta Jane Chapin, Lillie Devereux Blake, Matilda Joslyn Gage, Olympia Brown, Alexandra Gripenberg, Ursula Mellor Bright, Phebe Ann Coffin Hanaford, Clara Bewick Colby, and Irma von trolley-Borostyáni…

Not women?

Why would I want to do that? Burn those holy books. I’m not a theist.

You’re 100% right–women as well.

I understand why they wrote “The Woman’s Bible”–however, it is still a fictional book, so Elizabeth Cady Stanton and the other women I cited–are fair examples of that as well.

I wish those male “and female” contrived holy books never existed.

Religious movements involve a lot more than a book. Writing a new book’s the easy part (there are thousands published every year). Getting millions of people on board with either changing their views or adopting new views is the hard part.

Religions are cults that become mainstream and suddenly people call them religions-- however they are still nothing but cults.

How difficult is it to start a cult/religion?

“How To Start Your Own Religion” offers easy, step-by-step instructions on how to get in on the ground floor of one of the world’s oldest institutions. By following these simple directions, you can be the newest entrepreneur on the world stage of spirituality. No more religion that doesn’t quite fit, no higher authority telling you what to do- now you can have a religion that fits YOU, that’s perfect for YOU, and that you can control from the ground up. All you have to do is relax, be creative, have fun, and read the instructions listed below…

Quick recap of the steps:

  1. Choose a focus, a central theme, idea, or person.
  2. Create a central belief system, consisting of 2 or 3 main dogmas.
  3. Design your rituals.
  4. Pay attention to aesthetics, in terms of materials, symbols, etc.
  5. Choose your own role. Who are you in this religion?
  6. Advertise, advertise, advertise!

Starting a cult’s not a lot of work, though it is some. Starting a religion doesn’t seem so easy, given that there are around twelve of them.

If you start with the assumption that cults are the bases for religions and all religions are really cults it’s easy to play your word games, but much like forming a religion, the trick is to get most people onboard.
