What is it with these morons, you can’t even use that excuse to get out of jury duty.

“I’m too busy running for President” seems like the absolute worst reason to be offered to get out of some obligation. Running for President has got to be something that can only be undertaken once all other obligations are taken care of, and has to be fit in around any new obligations. Otherwise the only people you’re going to get running are the dipshits like TFG and Vivek, who have no conscience about blowing off real obligations to pursue an ego-pumping run that really only highlights to smart people how unfit they are to run anything on behalf of the citizenry.

Especially a legally mandated obligation that might illustrate your worthiness to even be president.

The amazing bit is that Rs think they can self-absolve themselves. So sure, politico murder is OK.

After President Gerald Ford left the White House in 1977, close friends said that the President privately justified his pardon of Richard Nixon by carrying in his wallet a portion of the text of the Burdick decision, which stated that a pardon carries an imputation of guilt and that acceptance carries a confession of guilt.[5] Ford made reference to the Burdick decision in his post-pardon written statement furnished to the Judiciary Committee of the United States House of Representatives on October 17, 1974
