I can’t be the only one who read that headline and assumed that the post was about the architecture of the Star Wars Rebel Alliance, right? I was thinking this was going to compare places like Yavin base, which have a lot of character, to the overly sterile and high-tech architecture of the Empire. But I’m sure someone has already written an article like that if I just look for it.
By the way, to take action and rebel, you’ve got to have an understanding of how architecture is utilized to prevent rebellion, to stifle direct action, and to break down resistance. That is why I read and then passed down the “Handbook of Tyranny” to my son, so that he can appreciate what architects have created to suppress free congregation and speech.
