I’ve heard the same about bukake meaning “pour it on”, and being a normal way to, say, ask the waiter for more sauce or gravy.
I find it comforting to know that other cultures share that moment when grandma says something at dinner and the younger generations just look at each other in horror while silently praying that nobody asks why Uncle Bob is trying so hard not to laugh.
