This zombie thing is interesting. I had never heard that term used for the above racist blanket uses. Even in the casual prepper discussions in CA Zombie=undead. The prepper problem is described as freeloaders, looters, and the unprepared.

Funny (not really) that you mention it, as I was thinking the same thing. “Going viral” has (or developed over time) a nasty component of death/rape threats, almost as if a group of people is waiting to see the “going viral” marker before they swing into action being the most horrible douchebags ever.
