No he’s not there yet but if the momentum of the past 2 months continues he’s sure got a shot.
For anyone struggling to understand these authoritarian followers flocking to Trump in droves, this is a must-read.
Surely you mean the PM who in fact did not repudiate the Kohno Statement and who in December 2015 signed an agreement with South Korea on this very issue?
You wouldn’t be talking emotional stuff over facts would you?
As far as I can tell, the Republican party loves Jewish people. Especially the ones in Israel.
But I wasn’t really thinking of Sanders’ religion, I was thinking about his proposed tax increases. Hatred of taxes is the one thing that seems to bind the various right wing groups together.
Yes, you are correct - he did in fact apologize:
However, the women involved were partially unhappy about it and Abe himself rejected the idea that it was indeed sex slavery:
It seems driven not by Abe’s desire to show remorse for what japan did in the war, but to facilitate trade in the region and advantage Japan more than anything else.
Yes, I do think this is an emotional issue. We’re talking about real human beings who suffered at the hands of Japan’s government. That should matter.
At this point I pretty much want a public apology from the RNC for thinks getting to this point
Aside from your speculation about Addelson, can you back that up with primary sources either in Hebrew or English?
As I read & understand the balance has been shifting there since Rabin.
This is related to that rightward shift, a book about Rabin’s assassin by Dan Ephron - that’s his argument.
despite the draw…
Someone here (other than you, I guess) reads Hebrew?
From the start, Trump was going to get all the psychopath votes from those who don’t (currently) feel empathy for anyone. Every other GOPer will be forced to Kasich because his human-suit doesn’t have large holes in it. He’s well spoken and seems like a reasonable guy, unlike every. single. other. R. Kasich and massive voter supression are the only chance the Rs have in the general.
Cruz votes will split while Cruz, Jeb! & Rubio backers will largely go to Kasich. Kasich will get most Carson votes because he’s a “nice” ratfucker.
Trump will wrap up more delegates, though, and it will be the train-wreckiest convention of all train wrecks ever. Yuuuuge.
Count me in amongst your survey as well😀
Or the ones that hate the current GOP and its candidates. Let’s be realistic. Not everyone willing to vote for Trump is a psycho. A lot of it is an upthrust middle finger at the established parties.
Sanders is not Nader because he has a base, and he’s organizing a movement. He’s held local and statewide office. He organized as a student.
Nader did a lot in his career, but not as an organizer or elected representative.
Their own candidates?
More than a few probably.
You got that right, though I’m told plenty of 'em wouldn’t want (for whatever reason) a Jewish president. Can’t say I really understand that.
Of course. Even more than the somewhat nebulous bogeyman that is the Socialist, his kissin’ cousin the Tax-And-Spend Liberal is what really gets them gnawing on their pillows at night.
I think you used “seems” well there. Not to shoot the messenger but I don’t even trust The Guardian (or The Economist) to report on the weather in Japan. I’ve verified on my own that their staff and regular stringers neither read nor speak Japanese which is to me a huge red flag. For some reason their Japan reporting is always overshadowed be editorial voice.
I’m also curious as to the the willingness to assign all blame for the plight of the women in question on the post war Japanese administrations despite compensation having been paid in 65 which was supposed to be for their benefit but the South Korean junta administration at the time spent elsewhere.
As usual I have to add a standard disclaimer that I’m not trying to minimize the suffering of and group during a period of total war.
Youth and stupidity are common reasons for being psycho. The Resident-to-be-Rump does seem to bring out the temporary psychosis in people.
I dunno. None of my Jewish in-laws can read Hebrew but then we are in California.
