I really like The Village. The execution had terrible mistakes–mistakes that brought Shyamalan’s shortcomings into very sharp relief–but it’s a movie I think was a careful edit and maybe a minute of reshoots away from genuine greatness.
OK, maybe goodness, not greatness.
