Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" interpolated to 60fps 4k is freaking everyone out

Is it just me, or does the music video not match the intensity of the song itself?

Like, the song goes pretty hard, but they’re just strolling around a geometrically lit set.

Yeah, he moves beautifully.

Technically, an excerpt from a feature film, Pop Gear. (Hosted by Jimmy Savile, so the full film will likely not see the light of day again for a good long time.) As I recall, most of the numbers were staged similarly lackadaisically, probably thrown together as quickly as possible. Kicks off with some great genuinely live Beatles footage, though.

In the video you posted, Choir! Choir! Choir! invited Rick Astley to sing with them. Two weeks later he showed up. He sounds good.

At the end he challenges Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) to do the same. Dave agreed, but I don’t know if it has happened, what with the pandemic and all.

Dave Grohl would have had nearly two years to show up before travel became difficult.
