This reminds me of a story I heard about the filming of the original Robocop; apparently the bit where Murphy is trying to escape the ED-209 by fleeing down the stairs was a hard shot to get because the Robocop suit made it so hard for Peter Weller to walk down the stairs himself. So they had to stop filming for a couple hours to hurriedly make him some new shoes.
