I figured out how to solve mine back in the 80’s when I was a kid. It’s easy. Those stickers peel off.

I remember the puzzle-mania of the early 80’s. I could easily solve Missing Link and Pyraminx, but Rubik’s required learning a lot more patterns that by the time I was halfway through the book, the craze died and we were on to the next thing, which was probably “Chinese” jacks or some other diversion.
