Ha. Just kidding, but wanted to let you know that it’s really popular in other religions/parts of the world. The big deal is what to do with the family butsudan when the religiously observant elders cark it, and the rest of the family is not really interested in dedicating part of their home to a shrine that they don’t really believe in. (which is exactly how my white, ex-christian Dad ended up with a butsudan in his bedroom in the family home, when none of us grandkids who actually had to attend buddhist temple as kids wanted it when grandpa and grandma died.)
