Scam? My email used to buy plane tickets

Really good point, @LutherBlisset. Any random malicious person could find this thread and be an Internet asshole to her. Not my intent to dox her.

I deleted the screenshots plus one entire post that gave out personal info. let me know if I missed anything. And I would request @someguy edit his post to remove her last name.

I had something like this but they were less than civil when I asked them to remove me, so I grabbed a random image from the Rotten.com frontpage and sent it to the group. Didn’t get any more texts.

(In my case it was a group text not email)

Way to be the squeeky rotten wheel.

Agh. The woman who is using my email (and a fake telephone number) to sign up for DirectTV just caught me at a bad time. I’m sick of getting her bills so I suspended autopay. We’ll see what she does when her service gets cut off and can’t access any of her account details…

I wonder if the autopay is even off her own credit/debit card?

According to her account details she’s used two different payment methods so far, one month into her service. So I’m probably just going to call att tomorrow and report this as a fraud.

That sounds like the right thing to do.

I may never get my issue resolved but it sure is interesting hearing all the variations of this others go through. If we are going to suffer online, we should at least do it together.
