Scary mysterious sign posted in Burbank, California

better and better!

he’s got an excellent hand, but the copy reads like it was written by Charlie from Always Sunny. seeing the anus poster, I guess this guy really is disturbed (or faking) rather than ESL as I first thought.

The illustrations and lettering remind me of Raymond Pettibone’s work. One of the drawings is very Charles Burns-esque.

I couldn’t remember the name, but same-sies

Instantly thought (or hoped) that it was a sequel to Charles Burns’ “Black Hole”.

Doh, didn’t see that you’d said that. Well I agree with you.

Feels like faking to me. The spelling and grammar errors seem deliberate—every sentence seems optimized to be technically wrong but still expressive.

For example, the artist jumps between a variety of constructions for the past tense, never using the same construction for more than two phrases running.

God was not at the bottom like the police tell he; the police tolded him lies

what did be in the hanging cage?

But then, IANAL (I am not a linguist). Anybody recognize this kind of speech/writing pattern? It is fascinating.
