This reminds me of a part early in the Saga comic series where the assassin The Will, flush with a fat spending account, decides to blow off some steam at the Sextillion brothel planet. When he gets there he asks the space-pimp if they have anything less conventional on offer.
Then the space-pimp shows him.
Then The Will reacts by doing this:
Blurred for act of (non-sexual) comic book violence
Indicted? He was convicted, and it took acts by two presidents to put him back into circulation.
It’s important to be respectful and accurate when setting a novel in a different culture. Unless you’re already famous for something not related to literature. In that case, who needs all that noise?
