Well, and of course the Q crowd doesn’t connect this with their theories, which is entirely focused on Democrats as being satanic. They’ll ignore actual abusers in their midst in order to accuse a Democrat of being a child molester who eats babies at their satanic rituals… some of it is warmed over satanic panic from the 1980s…
As for Bill Clinton, there are credible accusations of sexual harassment and even rape against him, but as far as I know, none younger than Monica Lewinsky was during his impeachment scandal (she was 22 - so certainly problematic, but not illegal). People forget that all the corruption that they accuse the Clintons of (which are more possible than satanic pedophiles) were investigated for several years by Ken Starr. If they are so corrupt that it’s entirely obvious and plain, why the hell did they have to go after him lying about an affair? If they REALLY wanted to go after him, why the hell didn’t they really try and figure out what happened with Juanita Broaddrick in 1978… the statue of limitations was long past gone, but if true, it’s far more damning that almost any other allegation against him - and on satan involved…
I use Linux, so I don’t care about Gates… He is an asshole, however you slice it, and he also has some credibly sexual harassment allegations against him…
Who, let’s not forget, was a part of Epstein’s 2008 legal team that got him the slap on the wrist jail sentence negotiated with US Attorney Alex Acosta who would later become Trump’s Secretary of Labor (before later resigning in disgrace). He also represented Epstein in 2019.
Also we can’t forget that the New York District Attorney’s Office and the Manhattan district attorneys office repeatedly tried to get him downgraded on the sex offender registry so he could have more access in New York.
That was Cyrus Vance Jr. And later, in 2016, Obama appointee Preet Bharara chose not to prosecute Epstein despite multiple known violations of his sex offender registry status.
“There is no way in hell that Epstein’s wealth was kept in a form that is trackable. If his estate had some trackable amount… it’s there to keep the IRS satisfied. The rest… it’s blackholed…”
Saying he had lots of untraceable wealth is just stating well known facts. While much of his wealth was no doubt fake Ponzi scheme wealth or money he simply stole from one of the many confidence schemes he was involved in, he’s well known to have laundered money and kept much of his income tied up in offshore tax havens.
Conspiracy theories would be repeating unsubstantiated rumors about about how he was doing arms deals on the side, or that he had vaults of incriminating evidence against his “clients”, or that he was working as an asset for Israeli intelligence, or that Mossad had him killed.
Defendants have the most leverage to cooperate before they are charged, and that’s how they work out favorable plea bargains, CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin said.
“But it is possible in some circumstances to cooperate after conviction, though (Maxwell) will have much less leverage now,” he said.
“I suspect she will want to do whatever she can to reduce her sentence and cooperation is the only option now. Of course, it all depends on what information she has.”
Well that doesn’t really cover it in detail. But it’s exactly what I’m talking about.
The only influence prosecutors have on the actual sentencing step is with a sentencing recommendation. But that’s completely non-binding, the judge can just ignore it. It can have an effect, but not really set in stone. And it all has to follow the same statutory framework which is often fairly rigid.
But once a sentence is set, there’s a whole bunch of stuff going on.
There’s statutory rules about the minimum amount of that sentence to be served. If you’ve heard the old saw about “let out early for good behavior”, or about people released for over crowding, or medical releases. We end prison terms early for a whole lotta reasons.
There parole determinations. Privileges like furloughs for funerals and emergencies.
Placement in a specific prison, or transfers. Actual privileges in the prison itself. Including job placements, protective custody, the ability to have shit in your cell etc.
All of that is apparently hugely influenced by cooperation post conviction.
On top of that there’s additional charges. Let’s say she gets off light, she gets the minimum on each count. And they run concurrently (if they can, probably can’t).
Well she’s still got 10 years worth of perjury charges she’s about to get tried on. Like next month.
And that’s without anything else that’s waiting in the wings.
There’s just not a lot to make a deal for in terms of the actual sentencing.
Too bad somebody had him killed before he could be convincted of any conspiracies—now we all have to pretend he was a GREAT GUY who NEVER DID ANYTHING WRONG
Sorry, that was sarcasm and humor - both are hard to communicate. I’m 100 percent sure he stashed most of his wealth, to hide it and to protect the people he got it from.
