How relieved am I that the question wasn’t “how much?”
How much was it?
Metric or imperial?
Does the unit of measurement really matter at this point?
Doesn’t it depend on what we’re measuring?
And on its temperature which impacts dimensional measurement?
Is it best then, to try to make sure that your measuring tool is made from the same material as the thing you’re going to measure? If you had to measure three feet of lard, would you use a lardstick?
What, were you in the pool?
A lardstick is an appropriate measurement tool, yes, but wouldnt three feet of lard be a bit of an exaggeration?
Do butter packs count as an Imperial or Metric measurement?
It depends on if you have ten or twelve, right?
It doesn’t matter what size, does it?
How many do you have?
Maybe @hecep is making a lot of pies? If they use the recipe I use (hell yeah, America’s Test Kitchen, Best New Recipes,) wouldn’t a 3 foot by 2" line of shortening or lard be sufficient for 12 pies?
And after baking, mightn’t they wish to check the thickness of their crusts with a picrometer?
Are you saying I should watch my cholesterol?
If pi is infinite and pies are circular is there a chance of infinite pie?
What’s it doing that needs watching?
Isn’t that called circular leavening?
How do I even watch it?
Aren’t we sure that we can’t be sure if Pi is infinite, but haven’t we concluded it’s irrational all around?
Carefully?
Does that mean from a distance or that I should wear safety gear?
Is both an option? How do you think I got this scar?
Does nobody else see what you did there?
