both were sort of Spoonerisms right? Jeremy Hunt, candidate…and leader of Scottish labor, Kezia…

She just didn’t complete the 2nd half of the spoonerism

Jeremy is fairly widely known by the insult, so it may have been “front of mind” as the marketing people say.

Well she’s not wrong.

One of the most delightful parts of Monday was the blue-on-blue action when Hunt called for Johnson’s resignation and the deranged Nadine Dorries (Culture War Secretary) promptly went on the attack with all the reserve of a drunken aunt at a shotgun wedding - admitting for the first time that the government knew it had squandered preparation for a pandemic on his watch. Apparently Dorries was responsible for a good few Tories jumping ship to oppose Johnson because they assumed she was doing his bidding.

And now all I can think about is the joke from Porky’s:

“Telephone call for Mike Hunt! Has anyone seen Mike Hunt?”

I wouldn’t be too hard on her for this slip-up. Ask anyone who worked in the NHS during his term as health secretary, and that is the mildest thing you’ll hear about him.

Pretty sure “Jeremy Hunt” was already well established as rhyming slang for that.

To be fair, he’s probably been called that since he was at school, so good on him for growing up to prove everyone correct by becoming a professional c*nt.

ETA Aww, the Bowdlerising Engine won’t let me use CU Next Tuesday :frowning:
