An excellent example of grift in a small conservative town. All of the cops kept their mouths shut for years and even tried to negotiate for even more pay recently lol. This town has been very conservative for years (in 2020, 70% folks in this county voted for Trump) and heck the new mayor pretty much walked onto the job unopposed (don’t know if that will happen again after the cops here are pissed off at him).

The story says its 84 hours for 2 weeks or 42 hours weekly (5% over the agreed salary). So a small grift by police standards
