I just need to find common ground with people who don’t view me as human and want me eradicated, great advice NPR
Yeah, I really hate these “reach out to the other side! Be the BIGGER person” stories… meanwhile, the far right and the FUCKING GOP CANDIDATES FOR PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT regularly employ genocidal language against trans people, immigrants, and increasingly the entire Democratic party… it’s fucking maddening! Calling someone a bible thumper isn’t the same thing as them calling trans people groomers, or comparing immigrants to bugs… 
They conveniently fail to mention any of that and use gun control as their example of polarization.
Yeah… even there… one side wants some reform that will protect children… the other treats guns like a fetish to be worshipped above the lives of children.
And yet the common perception of NPR is that it’s soaking in “liberal bias.”
