I had not heard about this series of events. Could we be seeing the beginning of the Kessler effect*? What little I know of it says it should be a slow-motion disaster, but essentially unstoppable once rolling. And loss of geosynchronous satellites is not a small problem in our current world. Just a reminder that there are things happening outside of out political shit show!
