in panel 2, i think that because the sensation of falling probably comes from different bits of your body experiencing the initial acceleration at different times… you probably wouldn’t be screaming the whole way around the earth.

plus that elevator would probably run out of air… :thinking:

Not as part of the original mission profile, but basically to fix problems. It worked better than expected.
