Gorgeous stuff. If only all the stolen and appropriated Western technology went into enterprises like this! (Rather than, say, gifting North Korea ever more expertise in ballistic missiles and nuclear weapons.)
I was eliding a little bit also. The Clinton Administration effectively gave them a lot of this ballistic missile technology in the '90s, apparently thinking China would understand it was against China’s self-interest to give the DPRK, with no civilian use to speak of, the ability to militarily strike anywhere on Earth.

Interesting story about how American missile technology was “appropriated” by China - did you know that the Chinese “King of Rocketry” — basically China’s equivalent of Von Braun or Korolev — also worked on the Manhattan Project, and was one of the founders of Caltech’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory?
Because he was Chinese, his security clearance was revoked during the Second Red Scare in the US. When he tried to return to China, he was detained without charges for five years, after which he was traded back to China in exchange for some captured US Korean War pilots.
