If so, it would explain Dorothy’s lack of luck with romantic partners which cannot be otherwise explained. Men not falling all over themselves to get with Bea Arthur is a romantic action only bested in inexplicability by Rolf’s refusal to go with the Von Trapp’s over the mountains to Switzerland (SHE’S SIXTEEN GOING ON SEVENTEEN, YOU IDIOT!).
