dagnabbit, “Frankenstein” refers to “Doctor Victor Frankenstein” and not his creation. His reanimated multipart corpse was never given a name by Mary Shelley. But if one insists to include the word it really costs little to make it a possessive: “Frankenstein’s monster”. Yes yes, there are postings like this one which give us permission to do this due to a lack of evidence that Shelley would’ve objected - which is cute, but it’s wrong! If something lacks a name then it may be referred to as “Frankenstein”? nah… that’s why we have: doodad, doohickey, doojigger, gimmick, gizmo, gubbins, thingmajig, thingummy, whatsis, widget and friends.

oh… and what-a-fun comic as usual!

twas nearly the joke, but it started with architecture and wisely detoured (as all things must) as a treachery of images. and besides, it’s pronounced Frankensteen

You know that old gag “What do you call a 400 pound gorilla with a machine gun? Whatever he asks you to call him”?
I’m gonna call the 8ft ultra-strong monster “Frankenstein”, as per his request.
