Is that, Klunk from Catch the Pidgeon supercut still extant? That always cheers me up. Not sure I can find it.
Use the Force.
I’ll try…
No try, Do.
Tis the Jedi way… I’m on it…
I’d bet Beschizza has a copy somewhere…
Mel Blanc’s talented voice-acting is immediately recognizable. He basically made every character’s success just by voicing them.
Eh, I was struck by how much of his voicing was just the same voice. Bugs Bunny yelling really didn’t sound different from the gangster yelling, etc.
I have no idea how and why that cartoon turned into a meme, but I´m all for it.
Good ol’ P.U.
And now I’m feeling guilty thinking about how many times in my life I’ve quoted that line to myself or others before actually stealing something.
The Man of a Thousand Voices and One Yell
Mel Blanc also appeared as an actor in several episodes of The Jack Benny Show, including once playing a burglar who tries to rob a sleeping Benny, only to be foiled by a series of elaborate traps. It’s been a long time but I only remember him saying one line: “Let’s get out of here!”
It was fun to see the man behind the Looney Tunes voices doing something so very different.
