Most people think of a scorpion’s front appendages as modified legs, but they’re actually more like modified versions of its mouth parts. I once had a pet Emperor Scorpion and it was fascinating to watch it eat, it basically had tiny claws around its face to shove food down its gullet.
It’s not like it has too many legs. Just add two more legs!
