I never saw it coming, but Teen Vogue has been putting it down for actual, credible journalism ever since the Orange Occupant took the oval office.

Straight up, Teen Vogue is in a pretty rarified journalistic territory for me. It’s right up there with The Intercept.

When I first heard of these pieces coming out of Teen Vogue, I got this image of the magazine’s avatar being a bemonocled presence proclaiming, “Teen Vogue cannot be muzzled!” Their recent efforts have not dimmed it in the slightest. :+1::+1::+1:

I saw this Jacobin piece today and also the (newly Vox-owned) New York mag piece that says in passing, and I quote:

Teen Vogue, which went online-only in 2017, has refocused on fashion; a post-Trump foray into wokeness was hard to monetize.

I wonder what stake Vox has in making us think Teen Vogue’s moment of awesomeness is somehow over?

I just read that comment as the usual right wing pundit’s projection…
