And from what I understand, the only thing Elno has added is “keep within the white lines” technology, now commonly available on many other mfrs models, and then he ditched radar because some complicated code was able to allegedly do what radar did but only using a vision camera.

Those are HMI evaluation considerations, and I can tell you they really aren’t interested in chasing that particular problem down.
From 2018 on they were actively pushing back against any possibility of using anything except their internal torque sensor to determine if the driver was engaged. If you’re dealing with hand-off, that’s fun to do with no real estimation of what the driver is doing.
