Those are HMI evaluation considerations, and I can tell you they really aren’t interested in chasing that particular problem down.
From 2018 on they were actively pushing back against any possibility of using anything except their internal torque sensor to determine if the driver was engaged. If you’re dealing with hand-off, that’s fun to do with no real estimation of what the driver is doing.
