Same. This is not a safe place to raise children in. It is not even a safe State to be any kind of woman in It’s not safe to be gay. It’s not a safe place to learn, study, or socialize in. Texas is currently under a anti-democratic fascist regime that is practicing femicide in a State where elections may not even be held in the near future. Come here if you want to suffer or to make others suffer, but any other objective is probably moot at this point.
People in the rest of the country should learn from our losses and save your own folks before it is too late for you too.

We have a young pediatrician joining us here because, after 5 years there, he is recently married, wanting to start a family, and not willing to chance doing it there. They are hurting their own people, and it has to start having an impact. At least in my head, it does.
