I agree, it should be marked as containing this stuff. You usually have to pay more for babies in the food. I want to know what I am paying for. Yum yum, babies.

When I was a kid my babysitter was some flavor of evangelical Christian (Jimmy Swaggart, PTL, the Bakkers, etc.), and she took us to her church once which talked all about aborted fetuses being used in health care products, like shampoos and conditioners, and even told us what ingredients to look for that were “code” for these materials. As an 8 year old I was completely horrified (and still feel like all of her church’s lessons were bordering on abuse to children). This was in the mid-1980s. It’s crazy that these kinds of beliefs are still out there!

I got taken to one of these by a neighbor in the nineties. At this one it was all about how Muslims have come to the cities to enslave us. I’m not exaggerating when I say they showed us pictures and addresses of every mosque and Muslim center in the region and pretty much went full blood libel about them. I had food poisoning though so I spent a lot of time in the toilet puking with a pregnant 14 year old girl. Good times.

Absolutely. What about those with severe baby allergies? (I personally know a few).
Then there are those who can’t tolerate some of the chemicals used in ersatz baby flavourings.
Labelling regulations are there for a reason, people.

It sure is a crazy world these people imagine themselves to live in. How the heck do they imagine it would be remotely feasible—let alone economical—to include aborted fetal cultures in every bottle of shampoo? It’s not like we’re talking about a substance as cheap and plentiful as xantham gum or aloe.
