I think that should be “50-year-old” not “500-year-old”.
Considering that the oldest known turtle lived to 186-or-something and the sheer size of that thing,
I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s no typo. 500 years would be impressive, to say the least,
but I don’t see how you could fit in a 50-year-old turtle.

I was basing it off what scant info is available online: Leatherback sea turtle - Wikipedia
They’re saying upwards of 50 years, with unverified information suggesting close to 100 years.
Edit: If you look at the newspaper image, it’s a Leatherback, not a Caribbean sea turtle.
