I so so so love that film but am always hesitant to recommend it to people.

I have tried watching Ringu and… well my head just can’t wrap around the franchise very well. Must be cultural stuff I can’t quite grok.
My mind cant’ get past the 'doctor goes to rape person who he then berates and murders for ‘tricking him’ about being a girl. Nevermind the whole psychic smallpox virus thing and spreading of the meme bullshit psudo deep thinking. I’m just… i’m like ‘wait wait WAIT let’s back up a tick and make THIS the fuckin horror movie. this person’s obviously not his first go. center the movie on THIS dickless fuck.’
Not sure I’d call Battle Royale a horror film, but eh whatevs.
