That’s what I thought, too. They’ve clearly only ever had trademarked “club apples” (hybrids & sports developed by universities, trade groups, etc). Cox’s Orange Pippin (or it’s hybrid scion that we’ll be planting here, Cox’s Queen ) is pretty universally considered the GOAT by apple aficionados. And yes, they exist and yes, I’ve met them.
