The bizarre conspiracy theory regarding the title "esquire"

Mostly meaningless, but you can get brought up on charges if you use it in a way that makes it seem like you are a lawyer licensed to practice law, such as someone in the law firm who’s a paralegal calling themselves Esquire in correspondence. Or a real estate agent calling themselves Esquire which might falsely imply they are a lawyer in addition to a realtor.

This can be so easy to forget, for those of us endowed with reasoning skills. It’s just so tempting to try to explain it somehow! And there is a way of explaining the overall cult phenomenon logically, but the crazy insane BS dogma? It’s all hooey.

Sure. :slight_smile: I imagine similar could also result if I advertised myself as a genuine “law talking guy”.

This is how I understood it, back in fifth grade, and I started signing my homework that way. However, I got the idea from Bugs Bunny.
