The Canadian Navy is cool with having an admitted Neo-Nazi in its ranks

I mean, it’s almost like the entire “western” world has a neo-nazi problem, doesn’t it?

Surely, it’s just in my imagination, right? I mean, racism and bigotry is just a weird aberration in the march of modernity, right? After all, white people built the freest, bestest societies, right? /s

It is a major stretch to assume that because a single enlisted guy is or was a nazi douche that he enjoys the support of the PTB. IF we are to build a better world we need to find ways to help these people put their horrid views and choices behind them. It appears that the Navy tried that. If he persisted, which appears to be the case, then he needs to be chucked out, preferably a few miles from shore in the North Atlantic.

Over 20 years ago I had the misfortune of working in a factory with a couple of the former Airborne white supremacists who had been discharged after the fiasco in Somalia. Complete arseholes, but notably booted out (and first in line for the chop when layoffs came).

Consequences for their actions is a good one… such as kicking them out of an organization they wish to join. Maybe then they can hook him up with organizations that help people get out of organizations like this, but that should not be at the expense of public safety. And YES, having a nazi in a military organization IS a threat to the public.

Yes. That’s the point. White supremacists always come with agendas. They don’t need to be in the military.
