The EU is an elitist technocracy and it takes popular uprisings to subdue its power grabs. 99% of the populace could oppose Brussels’ diktats and they’d decide they just needed better PR.

It’s possible that if this does get in that it will be incompatible with GDPR and it can be attacked that way.
