And this content arrives now - even in a not-winter-olympics year! This jibes with my quadrennial rant on subjectively judged events…

I say, after ridding the clown show of most/all figure skating, the free ice time can be used for this. It used to be an Olympic event. People occasionally died and nobody really cared about how “spangly” the costumes are.

I remember watching barrel jumping on Wide World of Sports in the 70s.

It’s not that long forgotten, here’s something from the 90s that ends with fire. The CBJF tried to get into the Olympics in the 90s.
