The Gallery of Trump-Inspired Assholes (Part 1)

Around the world, assholes on the right all seem to have that strange blindness to the extremists among them. (Until there’s another Charlottesville or Christchurch, when they have a disowning party.)

Good. Still too little, too late, but hopefully trending in the right direction.

Great overview, thanks. I’m surprised tho that he left “the great replacement” shite until the end. I think that concept especially needs highlighting at this point because it’s going mainstream.

Yes, “the great replacement” seems to be the meme that all the other toxic white supremacist memes are hooking on to these days. *

Somehow they feel that The Others are going to put them in boxcars any moment, and that justifies them doing it first.

In 2014, Perkins said that a holocaust against American Christians was imminent, and that LGBT activists were about to begin “hauling out boxcars.” He has made the holocaust claim several times.

The Conversation site has excellent quality articles. Usually I can only find quibbles to nit-pick.

 * meme in the original sense, not trending cat pictures.

Yes. And of course, it dovetails with another general rightwing strategy: Never admit that you’re doing the victimizing; turn it right around instead, and claim that you’re the REAL victim.

Right behind it as a term they want to mainstream is “cosmopolitan”. I’ve noticed them test-marketing it over the past month to see how often they’ll be called out for anti-Semitic dog-whistling, to see what consequences there are, and to try out different denials.

So close to that older, anti-black one, “urban.” (Which I suppose Trump means to echo with “Chicago”).

You don’t have to ‘suppose’ on that one!

Who would have thought that a raging narcissist who was mentored by Roy Cohn would treat people like used Kleenex once they stopped being useful to him, eh Mooch? Thanks for this new and totally shocking info, genius.

“Bannon Floats Idea of Michelle Obama Run Against Trump “ - Bloomberg

He knows she will never do it. He’s trying to stir up trouble.

(She would totally win.)

Whoda thought that Bannon and Michael Moore would end up on the same page!

I don’t even know if Trump was his hero. I’ve heard a few interviews with him after his ouster and it seems like he’s a fairly moderate conservative (like of the true “fiscal conservative” lean versus whatever the fuck most “conservatives” stand for these days). If anything it seems like he would have pushed back against Trump.

Which is also probably why he didn’t last very long.

White dudes that still want Black women to do all the heavy lifting for them?

Roger that! I don’t have any sympathy or love for the guy. Best I can do is say he didn’t seem like he was awful enough to last in Trump’s circle.

Once an asshole NRA member…

“As a woman, and now a mom, it’s incredibly important to me to feel like I can take care of myself and my family and I’m proud to be a member of an organization that supports my right to do so. Join me and millions of others. Become an NRA Mom today,” -WaPo 2015

“… I am no longer a NRA member. Being right no longer feels righteous. Because in the wake of more mass shootings, acts of senseless violence that sent innocent people running for their lives, leaving children orphaned and loved ones dead on the ground, I know we must do something about guns.”

“We have a problem in this country – and the problem is hate.”

Note: Former ‘NRA Mom’, SE Cupp is now a CNN political commentator.

She liked to play the hip young fascist before she got the CNN gig. She’s working her way toward David Brooks’s job.
