Roberts, more than most of the members of the Supreme Court, is keen to keep up the facade that the court is an apolitical and nonpartisan body. But what makes his choice to single out Schumer particularly noteworthy is that he did no such thing when President Donald Trump chose to publicly single out Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor, and suggest they had no business reviewing his decisions in the first place.

Yeah, if Roberts wants to pretend that the US Supreme Court is purely judicial rather than political as hell, perhaps he should cut any ties and contact with the Federalist Society, a private political organization that presumes to decide which judges and justices should be appointed.
How he wants to handle the problem of Justice Thomas and his political activist wife is his problem, but it needs to be addressed.

Yesterday while working out I was treated to a snippet of Fox News, in which a panel discussion feature Juan Williams as the token “liberal” commenting that he would like Trump to be a bit more precise and accurate in his statements, at which point the host (one of the interchangeable Fox Barbies) cut him off with “You have disrespected the President of the United States! I do not want to hear that!” and cut to commercial. This sums up most of the “thought process” of the PoT. (Party of Trump)
