The Gallery of Trump-Inspired Assholes (Part 1)

So do I. It’s my favorite of the Enigma Variations. Although I must say I find Green Day’s cover rather lacking.

Making Canada Dry since 1904? He doesn’t look nearly that old.

Then again, he’s scandalized by hip hop lyrics. Of course he’s that old.

“There’s no sorting machines that are going offline between now and the election,” Meadows said. “That’s something that my Democrat friends are trying to do to stoke fear out there. That’s not happening.”

Ok, whatever you say Mark…

DC area sorting machines shutting down:

“Ray Robinson, Executive Vice President of American Postal Workers Union Local 140, said that over the weekend, two mail sorters were being taken apart and that others have been out of use for about a month.”

“We haven’t completely understood why they’ve stopped running the machines, but that’s the plan to get rid of them,” said Robinson. “Because they can’t show the need for the use of the machine if they’re not running it.” -FOX5 (Local Fox affiliate)

Sabotage in broad daylight.

Although it’s fun to mock Shapiro, he’s getting the last laugh. YouTube’s monetization algorithm doesn’t distinguish between positive and negative reaction. Upvotes and downvotes mean nothing. All it apparently cares about is attention. The only way to discourage this cretin and others like him is to pay zero attention to him.

Have you read Boingboing? /s

It’s amazing how easily some people get demonetized on Youtube. I have seen content creators there resort to patreon because so many of their videos ended up demonetized, for basically no reason at all. One description I found described the process as:

“These videos are usually videos that either definitely, or could potentially, contain content that advertisers don’t want to be associated with.”

Yet somehow people like this can make money? Is MyPillow that big on Youtube?

Do tell.

I haven’t clicked on the vid but I sure as hell have mocked Shapiro’s ass for being ugly, inside and out.

And I will continue to do so, because “just ignoring” horrible people doesn’t make them go way.

That’s the problem here, isn’t it? It’s easy for some people to ignore this stuff, because it doesn’t directly impact their lives. Not everyone has that luxury. People like Shapiro are working to make life materially worse for people who aren’t white, straight cisgenered men. That’s not something some of us can “ignore” and have our rights intact afterwards. We (as a society) ignored dog whistle racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, etc for years now, and look where it has gotten us. All this shit has metastasized at an alarming rate… ignoring this has gotten us Trump!

It frustrates me that people just can’t see this and believe that the same old approaches to this stuff is going to finally bear some righteous fruit.

Just because you ignore something, it doesn’t go away.

Right? Especially when that person has a large, established audience that likes what he does.

Mocking him here doesn’t get him any up or down votes.

Oh, I thought @anon36155390’s comment as specific to Shapiro’s YouTube videos. I thought they meant that if you watch the video it still gets monetized regardless if one downvotes or even votes? I wasn’t even thinking about BBS.

(Full disclosure: I rarely look at YouTube, and I certainly wouldn’t waste my time watching anyone like Shapiro. :face_vomiting: )

I didn’t watch it either. I’ve already read enough of that book that I can judge it regardless of what new cover it gets wrapped in.
