Wow. That’s so bad on so many levels.

Apparently one of the big donors to the PAC is Scientologist Trish Duggan.

Former wife of Bob Duggan, a Scientologist who made big money in pharma, which is quite a contradiction. He traded in Trish for a younger model, maybe split from Scientology, but left a trust fund, so it’s all good.

Christ, what a bunch of assholes. Hope they get the book thrown at them, including lame attempt to impersonate an officer.

Or, goes full Trump, if you will.

https://opencorporates.com/companies?q=Oath+Keepers&utf8=✓

Bleh, a lot of incorporated chapters. One, Oath Keepers United, is actually a registered charity, which they managed to get in gorram record speed!

Incorporated 22 June 2018, IRS ruling date 06/2018.

I won’t say that’s impossible, but someone’s Improbability Drive must have been rolling coal!

eta: I’m no expert, but to get that charity status done in under a week would have taken the efforts of a top-rank firm of tax lawyers walking that application through the IRS offices in god mode.

I’m still boggled by this.

Assuming they started on the morning of their incorporation, that’s at most six working days to walk the application through the IRS offices without anyone gagging on the fact that Oath Keepers is a bat-shit crazy conspiracy group with guns.

I can’t wait to hear what kind of charitable works the Oath Keepers will be doing. Voter-suppression in defense of the Constitution? A-holes invading bird-sanctuaries (Send Snacks!)?

Can the administration itself be counted as “Trump inspired assholes”? I choose yes.

State Policy Network are some of the people behind the Republican entrenchment at the state level, with cookie-cutter bills that spread like measles.

https://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php/State_Policy_Network

The State Policy Network (SPN) is a web of right-wing “think tanks” and tax-exempt organizations in 49 states, Puerto Rico, Washington, D.C., Canada, and the United Kingdom.

Canada? Hm. Yeah, the Fraser Institute, also a US charity, should have seen that coming.

“The second level is when things start to get a little stranger. You have to commit to giving up masturbation. It’s a really important part of moving through the ranks, and it’s something that they insist people commit to as they sort of go through it, and then they apply — as a part of that initiation, what happens is is that you get beat up by other Proud Boy members of higher rank while you list your five favorite cereals. And then the third part of it is when you actually get a tattoo, a marking, and —”

Given the rampant anti-Semitism (especially against him) being stirred up on the Right, this was bound to happen.
