My son did this once - put the video from a cute anime with cute girls with the music from a horror show. The timing was perfect and pretty hilarious!
That was the standout for me as well, although I suspect the original was a bit surreal too. Much like the 80’s as a whole.
The Salt-n-Pepa pairing with The Captain and Tenille was a pretty good, and peculiar match.

I think one of the albums by Psychic TV says in the liner notes that you should listen to it while watching TV commercials without the sound, but I can’t remember the name of that album.
