This is so cool. I was upset when our school district decided to go with the shame method for getting lunch debts paid. These kids set up a a nonprofit to pay off the lunch debt.

True. The kids shouldn’t have to step up. The district has a budget shortfall, like most around Texas. The state had a huge surplus but all the bills to give some of that to schools died. In large part because school voucher/private school savings account things are Abbot’s big priority.
The kids shouldn’t have to step up. But I am impressed they have and donated.
