I like this film a lot. It was one of the earliest zombie type movies I had seen. It has been a long while since I have seen it, though.

My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult samples it for this little instrumental outro.

Ah, passionate film-making and not bottom-line film-making. Those were the days.

I was pretty tickled when I was able to identify this sample back in the day.

Dude I LOVE LOVE LOVE when I finally figure out where bands sample stuff. You will be watching a random movie and BOOM it hits you. It is like that Ratatouille scene where the camera zooms in and all the memories come rushing back.

If you are a TKK fan, it was finally figured out where several lines for Daisy Chain for Satan were sampled from: a album with a news radio documentary. Hmm - WhoSampled shows this, but IIRC there is also a sample used on their Sexplosion album.it doesn’t list.

The most recent moment was when I finally watched Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. There was this music in the soundtrack that went, “Ba ba ba.” And I was like - holy shit - that sounds just like a sample in The Wiseguys, Production. And boom - looked it up and confirmed, it is from “South American Getaway” by Burt Bacharach.

Most recently for me was identifying a sample at the end of Alpha’s Roy (Stargazing album version) while watching Disney’s The Aristocats.

I saw Dawn of the Dead in an actual theater but for the living death of me I don’t remember the biker scenes. That’s a sign of a killer B-Movie right there!

I’m a Night of The Living Dead person.

We used to get drunk and see Dawn of The Dead at midnight showings at a large mall in '80 - '82 then wander around the mall scaring each other.

Last Halloween we did Night of The Living Dead backyard drive in and goofed on it the whole time. Maybe I’ll do Dawn this year as a late night science fiction double feature with Rocky Horror.

I remeber the biker scenes because the gang leader is famed makeup effects artist Tom Savini. He’s very distinctive looking.
