It was okay. And Jimmy Smits was fine, too. it was just weird that they’d more-or-less replaced half the cast with these noobs, and somehow they weren’t as compelling. I understand why they thought that showing the long haul of a campaign would be more interesting than Bartlet’s lame-duck machinations, but somehow I found my attention wandering. Really wondering what the Administration was up to during some snoozefest budget negotiation or something.
When the lines are mixed in direction the colors help differentiate. For me it’s a jumble.
Thank you! That looks blue and orange to me.
You’re missing my point with Breaking Bad. If they’d been on 50% average, the finale at 80% would have put them way up the board. If their average is in the 90% area, there isn’t much higher for the finale to go, so they’re down the list.
Equally, a hypothetical show with a 20% average could strike it lucky with a 50% rated finale, and it shoots to the top of the board…
I getcha. But then you have here a chart that’s ranked by “Most Improved” rather than overall quality, so it makes sense that any show that starts out strong has a handicap. Also it’s not really a competition you’d want to win anyway, since “Most Improved” implies a lot of room for improvement at the outset.
Lame Duck technically refers to the period between the election of a new president, and the inaguration of a new president. two months for the old guy to make trouble. It does not refer to the last four years of a presidency.
Yeah yeah yeah, I know. And anyway, it was about his last two years. In the refreshing alternate universe of the Bartlet Administration, campaigns don’t run for longer than two years.
I heard about this idea here—
Say Goodbye to Red-Green Color Scales
and wanted to test it out. Also, it reminded me of this
And thank you in particular for that! I am now at least temporarily obsessed with the concept.
How did anyone SEE the Glee finale? The age demographic appeal for that show was so narrow that viewers literally aged out in about the span of three episodes. On to Gossip Girl! xoxo.
