The Museum of Sorcery and Witchcraft tells the story of Iceland's 17th century "witchcraze," complete with "necropants"

Darn it! We stayed in Borganes and totally missed this. Wish I had known.

We stayed in this fabulous guest house on the end of the peninsula overlooking the bay. Highly recommend it. The restaurant was fantastic as well. There was a little antique doll/toy museum in the courtyard as well.

Then there is the food at Þorrablót - an entire meal of horrors to give you nightmares - the fermenter shark is just the entrée:

Not forgetting things get really smelly a couple of days before Christmas:

But apart from that - the food is amazing.

Exactly this, they’re hyped up in all the tourist stuff, and it could all be a total lie. lol.
They’re not even a good replica, they look like something a kid could do with a rubber sheet, glue, and a pile of hair… Still kind of a fun museum, but not the best part of my Iceland trip.

So exhibits made with Funko Pop and Nendoroid figures? Maybe some Hello Kitty decorations on the longboats?

For Brits of a certain age, I’d say it all looks a bit ‘Noggin the Nog’.

I had to look that up. Yes, that would be adorable! Like if Richard Scary wrote a book about Busytown being pillaged by Norsemen.
